Okay, so we're now at the point for a deep breath. This is the moment when we give people just a little hope or reassurance because, let’s face it, some of the things we talk about—nervous system toxicity, chronic disease, and so on—can be challenging, right? It can feel overwhelming. But these segments are really going to focus on how we can gain a different perspective on what's going on. Let me give you an example. Right now, it's easy to look around at the world and think, "This is chaos," right? Whether you’re looking at things economically, politically, socially, or financially—no matter the lens—a lot of people feel the world is pretty unstable. I want to offer a different reference point for that, just to help reframe things a bit and, hopefully, give you a way to navigate it more easily. Here’s something to consider. I had a person come in the other day with back pain and neck pain—common things people come in with—but they also had anxiety, depression, PTSD, trouble focusing, gut issues, and brain fog. So many different things were going on. As we sat down and explored what was happening, it became clear that, first, this person was highly sensitive. And second, they were taking it all on. By "all," I mean the news, the world, wars, stress, violence—everything we see so frequently these days. When we got to the root of it, this was one of the main things that was dysregulating their nervous system. Why am I sharing this? I want to make it clear that one way to look at these things is through the lens of complex, dynamic systems and how they evolve. Let me give you an example: think about the weather, the stock market, or even predicting the next major event. These are all highly complex dynamic systems. And when systems like these evolve—from one level of complexity to a higher one—they have to go through one key phase: chaos. That’s right—chaos. In order for a system to reorganize at a higher level of complexity, efficiency, and energy, it needs to go through chaos. So, that's one way I’ve found helpful to look at the world. Yes, it’s chaotic out there. But I also believe that at the heart of this chaos is a global consciousness shift, and that’s what so many of us are experiencing right now. If you're highly sensitive, you're probably feeling this even more. And that can show up in many ways—anxiety, depression, physical symptoms, chronic illnesses, and more. But just take a deep breath, check in with yourself, and see if this perspective shift can help you navigate through the world and its overwhelming levels of stress. If we can recognize that this chaos is actually part of humanity's evolution, happening right in front of us, I believe it can be tremendously helpful. For me, it helps keep me from getting consumed by the chaos. Want to learn a technique to help center and calm in just a few minutes? Watch SRI Stage 1
