Dr. Rick’s path to chiropractic began with an unexpected moment of clarity. While attending a lecture on quantum mechanics and spirituality, the speaker asked who was ready to return to school and bring this work to the world. Dr. Rick found himself standing before his rational mind could interfere. “That was a very clear download from spirit that this is what I’m supposed to be doing.” This wasn’t the typical route into health care.
Education and Experience
Dr. Rick graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in 2001, though he began working in chiropractic care years earlier under his then-wife’s license. With an education in physics, he was taught to ask rigorous questions and seek genuine answers. His personal journey through meditation (since age 13) and martial arts (third-degree black belt in aikido) taught him about the body’s innate wisdom.
Over two decades in practice, Dr. Rick has witnessed a gradual decline in people’s adaptability and resilience. This observation led him to expand beyond NetworkSpinal work alone, integrating functional medicine to address the metabolic and nutritional foundations of health. The combination, he found, was remarkable.
The Heart of the Work
When asked what he loves most about being a chiropractor, Dr. Rick’s answer is simple: “Well, it may sound cliché, but helping people change their lives.” His focus centers on highly sensitive individuals and those who’ve seen many practitioners without finding lasting relief. These are his ideal patients—people ready to become friends with their bodies again. Dr. Rick practices alongside his wife, Nicole, in the Colorado mountains, where they draw inspiration from nature’s wisdom and beauty.
