Not only are they facing their personal life stresses (which are significant), but the impact politics and world events are having on them. I have friends on the far left, the far right, and everywhere in between. Both ends of the spectrum seem to be loosing it. (Interestingly both extremes sound very similar!)
It would be easy to conclude from watching the news and talking to people that things are getting worse.
Is this really true?
I want to offer a different perspective.
In spiritual teachings, as the light increases, so does the darkness.
I actually feel strongly that what we are currently experiencing here on planet earth is a global shift in consciousness.
To explain things more eloquently, here is a short video from Martha Beck.
(it's just under 9 minutes)
The first time I heard someone try to quantify this consciousness shift was in a discussion between Dr Donald Epstein (my teacher) and Ken Wilbur, an American writer on Transpersonal psychology.
The main focus of this conversation was on the coming consciousness shift. Ken Wilbur called this shift Tier 1 and Tier 2.
Tier 1 represents the current paradigm and Tier 2 what we are all evolving into.
When Donny asked, "What will this coming shift look like?"
Ken Wilber replied, "We don't know!"
He went on to explain that throughout history (Tier 1) there have been many global shifts in consciousness that could be measured and quantified depending on where you want to look from. But with Tier 2, there is nothing to compare it to. Tier 2 represents a fundamental shift so far out of our current experience of reality that we cannot use history to predict what will happen.
Ken also said that there is at least 5% of the world population already there! Now that may seem like a small percentage of the population to some. What's important to know is that it will only take a certain percentage to shift the scales (critical mass), allowing this global consciousness shift to unfold!
Ultimately, this is the true purpose of Network Spinal Analysis and Somato Respiratory Integration, to facilitate and speed up this consciousness shift. People come into the office to receive care and their pain and symptoms go away. This is wonderful! The reason that I became a Network doctor is I heard the call and felt the urgency to facilitate this consciousness shift, NOW!
This is what we mean by, "Turning Pain into Progress".
I invite you to consider this alternate perspective of what is happening in the world today. I especially like what Martha had to say about this being an inclusive change. We are not throwing down one pyramid to replace it with another. We are actually finding a way to care for everyone here on this small planet of ours.
I hope this dispels some fear and helps you take heart that despite what it looks like on the outside, the light is actually increasing.
Thank you for doing your part to bring it in and allowing me to assist and support you on your journey.
