Hey everybody, I know you want to know more about the HRV. So here it comes the rainbow graph. What does this thing mean? It's got these cool colors, right? And it's got these quadrants, but let me tell you about the quadrants So the first quadrant in the upper left corner is nicknamed the cross fitters quadrant because it's predominance of sympathetic overtones. You're probably in great shape but you can't relax your parasympathetic system which is the counterbalance to the sympathetic system, right? Fight or flight, rest and digest. The parasympathetics are inhibited. They're not working. They don't give you a chance to rest and digest. If this sounds like you, you know what I'm talking about. This means you're always on and you can never let down, you can have trouble sleeping probably, or letting down, or just sitting still. This sounds like you're always on and you can never let down. The second quadrant, which is going to be in the upper right side of the graph as you're facing it, this is really what we call the exhausted quadrant. This means you're kind of burned out, right? You've exhausted your sympathetic or your fight or flight ability to generate energy, to tap into your adrenals, to get going, to get the job done. It's like you burned it all out. You don't have the battery. You don't have the juice, right? You're just kind of a little bit flat line there. So you still have some adaptive reserve, which is good, but you're having trouble keeping everything going. You feel exhausted. Now we go to the bottom left quadrant, right? And this is where we find people and they're not doing well, right? They're running out of battery. Distressed is one of the nicknames for this quadrant. Right now they're they're kind of compromised. Their immune system's compromised. Maybe the cortex is not working so well. Their adrenals aren't functioning so well. They're really in a preparatory mode to have more things break down so we want to get you out of that quadrant as soon as possible up the line so that you can start having more free energy available and hopefully be energy rich. Now we got one quadrant left. That's the bottom right quadrant. When I see that little white dot in that bottom right quadrant that's concerning for me because that means you're pretty sick. That means not only do you have not enough parasympathetic, your parasympathetics are predominant. You don't have any sympathetic left and you have no adaptive reserve. That means any further stressor that comes along, whether that be life, microbe, traumatic event, physical, mental, emotional, it's just going to put you over the edge. You're going to actually really start to break down. Most people in that quadrant I find are like pretty chronically ill. They're probably already in the hospital, if not going soon. So none of this is really to scare anybody or freak anybody out. It's really to give you an idea that this machine, the HRV machine we have here in this office can actually see that coming long before it actually shows up for you and you're at the effect of it. Then we can talk to you about how to change that what we can do to actually turn that around and free up some energy out of your nervous system so you can live your life. You can feel great. You can go to do what you want to do. Why are you here? That's really our purpose. We want to light you up so you can light up the rest of the world with us.
