Where do we all connect?

In our last class we spoke about the current state of health in America and how so many health conditions are directly related to your mental-emotional state. Here are the stats:

  • According to the World Health Organization, the US ranks around 37th in terms of the health of our citizens out of 191 nations surveyed! 37th in the world but we spend the most on healthcare out of all nations.
  • Anxiety Disorder affects 40 million adults in the US or 18.1% of the population.
  • Depression affects 17.3 million adults in the US or 7.1% of the population.
  • Suicide has become the 2nd leading cause of death in ages 10-34.
  • Suicides are happening at twice the rate of homicides.
  • 170 million Americans suffer from chronic, germless diseases. These new types of disease take four forms:
    • Neurological
    • Autoimmune
    • Inflammatory
    • Metabolic disease
  • The number of prescriptions in the US rose 85% between 1997-2016. Prescription drug overdose is now the leading cause of death in Americans under 50 years. There are two reasons for this: mental health and chronic pain.
  • Medical error is the third leading cause of death in the US after heart disease and cancer.

We then went over what you can do about it! Research from current thought leaders like Dr. Joe Dispenza, Dr. Bruce Lipton, and finally a book by Shawn Achor called the “Happiness Advantage”. Bottom line, all emphatically proclaim that you CAN rewire your brain and your physiology to lead a more happy and fulfilling life.

How do we do this? Here is a link to a simple exercise to help you.

The one thing that I really wanted to communicate in the class and I’m not sure if it came across, is how profoundly these three authors and researchers (and many others) connect. They’re all saying the same thing from slightly different perspectives. What is this point of convergence?

This three dimensional material world is not all that is.

        Here
is an example to illustrate this point: When I started studying science we were taught that atoms are made up of a nucleus with electrons orbiting around them in clear perfect circular pathways (the Bohr model). Then I began studying university physics in college and all this went out the window! I found out that not only do electrons not orbit the nucleus in clear circular pathways (they occur in regions of probability) but that electrons pop in and out of our perceived reality based on the intention of the observer. What? They also change between a particle and a wave form. Same is true of light, is it a particle, or a wave? It is both! My whole 3 dimensional view of the world was forever shattered. Even time itself is not a constant! (Einstein). Through the lens of physics we can start to grasp that the interface between matter and energy is much more profound than commonly realized. This is also equally true of your inner world and the interface between body and mind.

Ok, so what does all this abstract thought have to do with you?

You have the ability to change your thinking (programming) and consequently change your health.
You are not your body, your mind, or your emotions. All these things emerge from the multi dimensional field where all is one and there is nothing but energy and information. You’re focused attention and intention can direct this field into literally changing your genetic expression (epigenetics) and consequently your physical manifestation. You can change your body, heal yourself, rewire your brain, heal your mind and change chronic negative emotions into positive ones.

How?

So many different ways, here are a few examples to get you going:

  1.  Do the 21 day Happiness Challenge
  2.  Get Entrained! (Your Network sessions here at the office)
  3. Meditate
  4. Check out the books referenced above and expand your perspectives

Based on the feedback from our last class, our next topic will be Meditation!

Yours in Health,
Dr Rick
